Below is a LIST of CHARLTON Digests that I have had IN STOCK
& can thus Confirm the existance of.
There are 12 different known titles, that i have found in
the last 8 years, since i began searching in the year 2000.
I suspect there might be others (Daffy Duck, Porky Pig,
Huckleberry Hound, Top Cat, Tom & Jerry, other Walter Lantz Titles)
ALL the Titles below DO EXIST with NO PRICES on the Cover.
MANY of the Titles EXIST with PRICES on the Cover.
It seems that ALL trhe Warner Bros tiltes (Bugs, Tweety
& Beep) do have Priced Variants;
ONE Hanna-Barbera tilte (Barney &
Betty) had a Priced Variant, thus there might be others.
From what I have been able to
understand, the NO PRICE versions were published first & were
probably sold thru a Book Club that sold to students at Schools.
(Similar to what
Scholastic Books has been doing for 30-40 Years)
The (Scarcer) priced variant
editions, were probably an attempt to break into the
retail newsstand marketplace.
